types of waveforms Positive is upward. Waveform a was considered to have come from an injured cell because of the initial positivity followed by negativity. Waveform b was considered to have come from an injured cell because of the pronounced notch on the spike. Waveform c (from cell F2) was considered to have come from an uninjured cell because of its initial negativity. Waveform d (from cell I1) was considered to have come from an uninjured cell because it was only positive. Records were played back unfiltered from tape recorder onto a storage oscilloscope, photographed with a polaroid camera and reversed photographically.
