Dear Readers, Thank you so much again for the interesting and inspiring mail and Email concerning the activities around the Seville Statement on Violence. I am especially grateful to get to know about the new translations of the Seville Statement on Violence. I send my greetings and thanks to Ethel Tobach, co-editor of Gender Series, who has published the Statement in her book last year. The name of the book is: On Peace, War and Gender: 11 challenge to genetic explanation. Anne E. Munter has edited the book. Betty Rosoff and Ethel Tobach, Series Editors. The Feminist Press, 1991, New York. Dr. Candace Corson-Knowles has sent a letter informing that she is teaching at Indiana University in South Bend and has included the SSV in her lectures: Nurturing the Earth-Women, Men and Earth in the Balance. Lecturer Pegg Tuomi, University of Jyvaskyla, Finland has continuously used the SSV in her teaching English. A very important letter has come from one of the most prominent peace promoters, Chancellor of University of Peace, Costa Rica, Robert Muller. I am enclosing his meaningful letter to the readers. I hope that his ideas are going to be true like many of his ideas in the past. Claire Honigman from la Voix de L'Enfant, Federation d'Associations pour l'Aide a l'Enfance en Detresse has written a letter. She likes to emphasize the possibility of publishing a second much improved edition of the UNESCO’S booklet of the Seville Statement. Claire Honigman wants information of new conferences and meetings. To this request I have to inform you that this Newsletter, unfortunately, is not a very good forum. The Newsletter is published only three times a year and usually the information comes too late. The best information of upcoming peace and peace research conferences can be attained from IPRA HQ, IPRA (International Peace Research Association), Antioch College, Yellow Springs, Ohio 45387, USA.
