Dear Readers, Thank you so much for your interesting and inspiring mail again concerning the activities around the Seville Statement on Violence. The Seville Statement on Violence was clearly visible at the XVth General Conference of IPRA (International Peace Research Association) Malta, 29th October-6th November, 1994. Director Janus Symonides and Prof, David Adams from UNESC0 spoke at the plenary : Towards a Culture of Peace: The Challenge for Peace Research and Education. Both of them mentioned the Seville Statement on Violence and its role in our effort towards peace and nonviolence. 1 attended the Symposium: Families as Educators for Global Citizenship in Budapest 16-18th December, 1994, organized by UNESCO, the Commission of the European Union and the Hungarian Sociological Association. There were participants from the UN and 20 different countries. A lot at participants of the conference were willing to get the SSV booklet, which was passed out during the conference session.
